IAGTO, The Global Golf Tourism Organization, was established in 1997. Membership comprises 2301 accredited golf tour operators, golf resorts, hotels, golf courses, receptive operators, airlines, tourist boards, approved media and business partners in 100 countries including, at its core, 575 specialist golf tour operators in 62 countries. It is estimated that IAGTO’s operators control over 85% of the golf holiday packages sold worldwide and turnover more than € 2.1 billion per year.

Marco Polacci has been a member of IAGTO since 1997. After just one year he was chosen to represent Spain on the Steering Committee until the committees were replaced by chapter chairmen. In 2002, Marco was nominated Chapter Chairman for Andalucia and in 2011 for IAGTO Spain.

As stated by IAGTO’s founder, Peter Walton, “IAGTO strives to provide information and create opportunities that help its members develop their business faster, with less effort and less cost. In addition to organizing fam trips, press trips, workshops, destination conventions and events, our staff around the world are constantly developing news services for our members to take advantage of and we pride ourselves on being at the heart of the golf tourism industry.”
